ROCKVILLE, Md. | Twelve volunteer firefighters from Rockville have been suspended after breaking in to two buildings.
Montgomery County officials announced the suspensions Friday. Authorities say on Friday night three 17-year-old volunteer firefighters were arrested after breaking in to a fire department warehouse. Rockville Police Maj. Bob Rappoport says it appears they were planning to leave with equipment.
On Thursday night nine volunteer firefighters entered the community room of an apartment complex, apparently to play pool or table tennis. All 12 have been suspended until an investigation is conducted.
