WASHINGTON | Police in Washington are investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed a pedestrian.
The Metropolitan Police Department says the hit-and-run happened Saturday at about 6 a.m. The victim, a woman, was transported to a hospital but died about an hour later.
Police want the public’s help to find the motorist involved in the accident and to identify the woman, who was wearing workout clothing, Asics running shoes, several yellow metal bracelets and a Sony CD Walkman.
The incident occurred at the intersection of 14th Street and Constitution Avenue, NW.
