ROCHESTER, N.Y. | Rain has postponed Stephen Strasburg’s scheduled start for Triple-A Syracuse.

The Washington Nationals’ top prospect is scheduled to pitch in a makeup game Wednesday night.

The top pick in the 2009 draft is 5-1 with a 1.06 earned run average and 40 strikeouts in 40 innings with the Chiefs and Double-A Harrisburg this spring. That includes a 2-0 record and a 0.00 ERA in his two International League starts with Syracuse. He’s allowed just one hit and struck out 13 batters in his last 12 innings.
