LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Closed-mindedness of atheist movement

- The Washington Times - Wednesday, October 19, 2011

What can a person believe nowadays after Christopher Hitchens, author of "God Is Not Great" and Richard Dawkins, author of "The God Delusion," helped spawn a new militant-atheist movement? With their simplistic notion that there is probably no God, maybe we should all relax and enjoy ourselves.

While Pope Benedict XVI embraces the "Big Bang Theory" as part of God's plan, physicist Stephen Hawking claims that the universe can create itself out of nothing and needed no Creator. But where or what is the source of this phenomenon that makes the material most important to us?

Humanity needs a new vision, and it has to be created by open-minded thinkers.
