LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Acting and living heroically

- The Washington Times - Tuesday, January 31, 2012

My sincere hopes and prayers are extended to the Blankley family and members of The Washington Times staff at the inopportune and premature passing of such a perceptive and heroic man ("Tony Blankley, R.I.P.," Comment & Analysis, Jan. 9). Mr. Blankley's wisdom, wit and grit will be missed.

Thank you, Washington Times, for your fitting tributes to him. I was not aware of his child-acting past. But somehow I am not surprised; what Lassie was to fellow canines, Mr. Blankley was to his peers in the editorial business - an astute, heroic human being who respected the opposition but wrote those flawed belief systems right into the doghouse.
