ANALYSIS/OPINION:

What right do illegal aliens have to sue our government (“Dream Act students sue to stop Senate filibuster,” Web, Tuesday)?

People who have come to our country illegally are breaking our laws every day just by being here. If such individuals really wanted to be Americans, they would go through legal channels to become citizens. Politicians and interest groups are encouraging them to break our laws because they do not want anyone to enforce immigration rules.

Illegals should not be getting any benefits or financial aid. Nor should they receive amnesty in this country. Our borders need to be secured, and we need to be more diligent about checking the paperwork of individuals coming into the United States.
