From Michelle Obama to Joe Biden to Hillary Clinton to Sarah Palin -- more than a dozen of the biggest names in politics and entertainment saw their personal accounts hacked and private financial information posted online.
Los Angeles Police Department detectives are working furiously to find the culprits.
Among the victims, The New York Daily News reports: Attorney General Eric Holder, FBI Director Robert Mueller, Jay-Z and Beyonce, Paris Hilton, Mel Gibson, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, Donald Trump, Hulk Hogan and Ashton Kutcher.
The hacker has posted the personal information to a website entitled “The Secret Files,” the Daily News reports.
The site – which has an Internet suffix that originates in Russia -- displays victims’ addresses, Social Security numbers, mortgage accounts, credit card numbers and bank accounts.
The FBI told the Daily News it’s aware of the hacking incident, but did not confirm an investigation is ongoing. However, LAPD is on the job. The force’s head honcho, chief Charlie Beck, is among the victims, the Daily News said.
“The incident with (LAPD Chief Charlie Beck) is being looked at by detectives,” an LAPD source told the Daily News. “His personal information was posted.”
