FBI questions Benghazi suspect detained in Libya

- The Washington Times - Friday, March 15, 2013

A man who is suspected of being involved in the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the U.S. facility in Benghazi is being detained and questioned in Libya, two unnamed sources say.

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents have been given access to him and have conducted interviews, CNN reports.

The man, Faraj al-Shibli, had recently returned to Libya from a trip to Pakistan, one source who was briefed on his arrest told CNN.

It's not clear what FBI agents learned, or whether the suspect in Libyan custody helped directly in the embassy attack, Fox News reports. It's also not certain he will be formally charged with anything following his detainment.

House Homeland Security Committee member Rep. Jason Chaffetz said Thursday that "we think there are more than a dozen people involved in this," CNN reported.
