MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin officials say two new cases of chronic wasting disease have been found in deer on private land.

The state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection said Tuesday a 2-year-old doe tested positive for the fatal disease on a Richland County breeding farm. The farm is now quarantined and the agency is investigating.

A 5-year-old buck tested positive on a Marathon County hunting preserve where two cases had previously been confirmed. The state quarantined Wilderness Whitetails hunting preserve and its affiliated farms after the first deer tested positive in 2013.

CWD has been found in 18 counties of Wisconsin but is concentrated in an area west of Madison and in Rock and Walworth counties. It was detected for the first time in Wisconsin in 2002.
