MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermonters are being invited to the lighting of the state’s Christmas tree in front of the Statehouse in Montpelier.
A special lighting ceremony is being planned for 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
Gov. Peter Shumlin is planning to light the tree, a 32-foot balsam fir that was harvested in the Green Mountain National Forest near Hancock.
