NORTH WALES, Pa. (AP) - New Jersey-based Merck is cutting 148 sales and management jobs in Pennsylvania.

The drugmaker says the layoffs will take place at its North Wales plant by Sept. 10 because it is no longer promoting the blood circulation medicine Zontivity.

The word comes weeks after Merck announced it was shifting 300 jobs from the Montgomery County site and two facilities in northern New Jersey to Massachusetts, where it is concentrating biomedical jobs.
