COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) - A former Columbus municipal judge has been formally reprimanded for multiple judicial conduct violations.

The Commercial Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/2aYTyaI) District Judge Lee Howard issued the reprimand Tuesday before the Lowndes County Circuit Court term began.

Nicole Clinkscales sat on the bench from 2010 until 2015, when she resigned to run as a write-in candidate for the House District 41. During that time, she also served as a drug court judge until February 2015.

The Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance filed a formal complaint against Clinkscales in June 2014 in four areas — inappropriate social media postings, poor conduct in her role as a drug court judge, false or misleading statements about a misdemeanor charge against her in a newspaper interview, and inappropriate courtroom conduct.
