DAUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. (AP) - Dauphin Island is planning a fireworks show, a sunset concert and movies on the beach to mark the end of the summer tourist season on Labor Day weekend.

Dauphin Island Mayor Jeff Collier said the 15-minute free fireworks show is set for 8:45 p.m. on Sept. 4 at the public beach beside the elementary school.

Earlier on Sept. 4, a 5:45 p.m. concert will feature Mobile-based band Crowned Jewelz.



Free, family-friendly movies are also planned during the evenings on Sept. 2 and Sept. 3.
