ARLINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Amtrak says a train traveling from New Orleans to Chicago has hit a pedestrian who was on the tracks in western Kentucky.

A statement says the collision occurred at about 2 a.m. Friday in Carlisle County while the train had 158 passengers. The company said no passengers or crew members were injured.

Carlisle County Emergency Management Director Josh Glover told West Kentucky Star (https://bit.ly/1UjpjWX) that the coroner has been called to the scene.
