MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A Minot man accused of drug and weapons charges says he will plead guilty in federal court.

A plea agreement calls for Frederick Harris to plead guilty to an amended drug charge of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Harris had originally faced a drug conspiracy charge, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison.

In exchange for the plea, the government says it will drop two illegal weapons charges.

Authorities say a search of Harris’ apartment in July 2015 yielded more than 446 grams of meth and two firearms.

A change of plea hearing has not been scheduled.
