EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - Authorities say a 34-year-old man died while swimming laps in the Eden Prairie Community Center pool.
Police and paramedics were called about a medical emergency at the pool about 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Bystanders, community center employees and rescue workers tried to revive the man, but he was pronounced dead at a hospital.
No lifeguards are on duty during adult swim hours.
The Star Tribune (https://strib.mn/2cgf0VW ) reports the pool was reopened Friday after being inspected by the county.
The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. The man’s name and cause of death were not immediately released.
