KENNER, La. (AP) - Police say teenagers used a BB gun to try to rob a woman leaving a casino in Louisiana.
NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports two boys aged 17 and 15 have been arrested on attempted armed robbery charges. Police have obtained a warrant for a 16-year-old boy also wanted in the holdup attempt outside the Treasure Chest Casino in Kenner.
Kenner police Lt. Brian McGregor said a woman was getting into her car July 6 when another car pulled up and someone got out holding a BB gun resembling a pistol. Two others approached and tried to take the woman’s purse.
An arrest report says the teens fled emptyhanded when the woman’s companion told them to go away. Police used surveillance cameras to identify the license plate of the suspects’ car.
