ANALYSIS/OPINION:

The left loves women — unless they’re conservative.

Just shortly after President Donald Trump promoted her to the post of White House press secretary, one of the haters on the left blasted her as a “butch queen.”

You read that right.

And this wasn’t a low-lifer blog commenter — a troll type, say — who made the remark. It was made by a hired staff writer with a known news outlet. A so-called professional in the business of news,

Ira Madison III, an entertainment writer with The Daily Beast, penned this of Sanders, on a tweet to his 47,500-plus followers: “Butch queen first time in drags at ball.”

And he posted the zinger alongside a photograph of Sanders, Fox News reported.

Even comedically speaking, the remark’s over the top. How about someone turn the tables and start commenting — jokingly, of course — about Madison, starting with his black skin color?

Bet the left wouldn’t be so silent then.

You know, the right had its own dings about the physical appearance of Michelle Obama, calling her out for perceived masculine features and demeanors. That was pretty crass as well.

But Sanders has barely in the role a few hours and has already faced her share of unkind, unnecessary and over-the-top critiques about her looks.

“Sarah Huckabee Sanders looks like every woman eating lobster on a cruise ship,” tweeted “Family Guy” writer Damien Fahey, Fox News found.

The comments, by themselves, are bad enough. But what’s worse is the hypocrisy. What’s hypocritical is these attacks are coming from those from the political left against a woman — from the political left that’s always patting itself on the back for being the staunch defender of feminism against a supposed anti-woman Republican Party. Well, who’s the woman-hating now?

Who’s the woman-hating now.
