The Nationals’ in-house production department collected video yesterday for RFK Stadium’s scoreboard promos between innings.
MASN was also here to film material for its pre- and postgame shows, and for all its spring games and the regular season.
Right-hander Jerome Williams’ job was to show the cameras how to grip and throw his three fastballs. The MASN camera crew thought Williams was a television natural.
“Don’t let that fool you, I was nervous the whole time,” Williams said.
Tim Redding (right), who acted as Williams’ catcher, was given the task of showing how to cover first base.
“It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be, I thought it would be like take 45,” Redding said.
Reliever Jon Rauch thought he was supposed to show how to properly use the rosin bag, that was until Chris Michalak walked out of the tunnel swinging a rosin bag.
