Maryland new homes: Closing assist in Brandywine

K. Hovnanian Homes is building 63 town homes at the Lakes at Chaddsford in Brandywine, a planned community with a lake, fitness trails, playgrounds, tennis courts, a clubhouse and swimming pool.

The builder is offering up to 6 percent closing costs, a finished recreation room and a free luxury master bath to buyers who use the preferred lender and title company.

Each home in this Prince George's County community will include a one- or two-car garage. Brick fronts are optional.

Both models feature three finished levels with three bedrooms; 2 1/2 or 3 1/2 baths; hardwood flooring in the foyer and powder room; 9-foot ceilings on the main level; crown and chair-rail moldings and 42-inch oak cabinets in the kitchen.

The homes have about 2,320 to 2,573 finished square feet, with base prices from $305,990 to $315,990. Homeowner association fees are $54 per month.

The Adams Morgan model, with 2,320 square feet and priced from $305,990, has a front porch that opens to a foyer with a closet. Stairs lead up to the recreation room, which has an adjacent full bath, a mechanical-storage room and a closet. The one-car garage has a storage area.

The main level has a library with an adjacent powder room and an open living room and dining room. At the back of the house are an open family room and center-island kitchen with a pantry.

Upstairs, the master suite has a walk-in closet and a luxury bath with a soaking tub and separate shower. Two more bedrooms, another full bath and a laundry room complete this level.
