OPINION:
Our nation faces a grave crisis. Sen. Barack Obama, who is one of the most radical political figures ever to be nominated by the Democrats, is just one step away from becoming president of the United States.
He has promised to change America, and, if elected, he will do just that - but in a way you will not like. Mr. Obama is one of the most liberal members of the Senate. Just look at his record, and you will see how dangerous he can be.
He has terrorist friends whom he will not denounce, such as William Ayers - a former leader in the Weather Underground, better known as the Weathermen, a group that bombed government buildings, including the Pentagon, killing police officers and civilians.
He even has been endorsed by Louis Farrakhan, the radical leader of the Nation of Islam. Also, the Islamic terrorist group Hamas has praised him, indicating it wants Mr. Obama to win the election.
Mr. Obama has backed driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants, he opposes gun rights and he is one of the most pro-abortion candidates in the history of the United States.
His economic plans are dangerous for this country: He plans to double the capital-gains tax, wants to let the Bush tax cuts expire and has called for more than $800 billion in new spending programs.
Election Day is just one short week away, and Mr. Obama is not what we need as the next president of the United States. He must not be elected.
