Because has been working with the Redskins in Virginia, defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth has yet to be formally served with the $7.5 million civil lawsuit that was reported Monday. Once he is served, Haynesworth will have 30 days to respond. At that point Jonathan Perry, the attorney for plaintiff Corey Edmonson, will request a scheduling conference with a judge in Williamson County (Tenn.) Court. Perry said he hopes the case can be resolved without going to trial.

Haynesworth faces a June 8 hearing in the court on misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and driving with an expired registration in a December traffic accident in which Edmonson was injured.
