_ Terrelle Pryor, Ohio State, threw for a career-best 334 yards and three touchdowns to lead the No. 2 Buckeyes past Indiana 38-10 a week after he left a win at Illinois with a strained left thigh muscle.

_ Taylor Potts, Texas Tech, threw for 462 yards and four touchdowns to help the Red Raiders avoid their first 0-3 start in the Big 12 with a 45-38 win over Baylor.

_ Andy Dalton, TCU, threw for a season-high 270 yards and three touchdowns a week after his worst game of the season to lift the No. 5 Frogs to a 45-0 victory over Wyoming.

_ Russell Wilson, N.C. State, threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns in the Wolfpack’s 44-17 win over Boston College.

_ John Clay, Wisconsin, ran for 111 yards and three touchdowns to lead the No. 20 Badgers to a 41-23 win over Minnesota.

_ Aaron Murray, Georgia, ran for two touchdowns and threw for two more scores to help the Bulldogs rout Tennessee 41-14 in a rude homecoming for Volunteers coach Derek Dooley.

_ Jonathan Warzeka, Air Force, returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to help the No. 25 Falcons to a 49-27 rout of Colorado State in their first game as a ranked team in seven seasons.

_ Adam Froman, Louisville, threw four first-half touchdown passes and rushed for 204 yards with two scores to lead the Cardinals to a 56-0 win over Memphis.


Wisconsin has kept Paul Bunyan’s Axe for seven straight years after beating Minnesota 41-23. … TCU posted consecutive shutouts for the first time in 55 years with its 45-0 win over Wyoming. The Horned Frogs beat Colorado State 27-0 the week before.


Penn State’s injury woes just got worse.

The Nittany Lions lost two more starters to potentially serious injuries in the first quarter of a 33-13 loss to Illinois when defensive end Eric Latimore hurt his left wrist and safety Nick Sukay injured his pectoral muscle.

Another starting end, Pete Massaro, left because of dehydration and the Nittany Lions were forced to use freshman DaQuan Jones at end with Jack Crawford already shelved for the game because of a right foot injury suffered in practice.
