Police in the District and Prince George’s County are investigating fatal shootings from Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
Around 10:43 p.m. Friday, D.C. police officers responded to the 1300 block of Emerald Street in Northeast for a report of a shooting. They found Leonard Bigelow, 43, of Northeast, unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. He was taken to a local hospital where he died.
Prince George's County police reported a shooting around 1 p.m. Saturday in Laurel. Officers found a man dead inside a home in the 10100 block of Bignonia Drive.
Prince George's County police are now looking for a man they say was an acquaintance of the man killed. The names of the victim and suspect were not available Saturday afternoon.
