Book deal reached for account of bin Laden killing

NEW YORK (AP) - A leading biographer of Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida has a deal for a book on the killing of the terrorist leader.

Peter Bergen has an agreement with Crown Publishers for "an immersive, definitive account" tentatively called "The Manhunt." Crown announced the book Tuesday. No publication date has been set.

Bergen is a national security analyst for CNN. His previous books include "Holy War, Inc.," "The Osama bin Laden I Know" and "The Longest War."

Simon & Schuster's Free Press announced Monday that it was planning an e-book "as fast as possible" based on material from "The Longest War."
