It is the first year of a three-year agreement for the tournament.

“Bringing the tournament to this facility is another sign of the tour continuing to grow up and develop,” said Nationwide Tour president Bill Calfee.

The course was the site of a PGA Tour event — most frequently known as the Kemper Open — 19 times from 1987 to 2006, and the Senior Players Championship in 2010.

The area hosted Nationwide events at the Country Club of Woodmore in Mitchellville (2007 through ‘09) and the University of Maryland Golf Course (2010 through ‘11), where the tournament was known as the Prince George’s County Open.

Last year’s event was held during the first week of June.
