“I mean, we criticized the hell out of them for a 2,700-page bill that nobody had time to read and that sort of thing, and nothing I’ve heard on our side of the aisle is that kind of magnitude,” he said.

Rep. Tom Price, a Georgia Republican who has put forward one of the most comprehensive GOP plans, said the challenge is to agree on how broad the reform should be. He was more optimistic that they might roll something out by June.

“What are we at — May 9, 10?” he said. “We’re in great shape.”
