A man was stabbed Saturday night after an assault escalated, D.C. police said.
The stabbing occurred at about 6:05 p.m. near the intersection of 14th and Girard streets Northwest. According to a police spokesman, a fight broke out between two men before one of them stabbed the other.
The victim was taken to the hospital.
