Prince George's County police on Sunday were investigating a double shooting that left one woman dead and another woman injured.
Police spokesman Cpl. Larry Johnson said police were called at about 6 a.m. Sunday to the 4600 block of Heath Street in Capitol Heights for the report of gunshots.
Police received another call soon after for two adult female victims found several blocks away in the 9000 block of Central Avenue.
Cpl. Johnson said one of the women was pronounced dead at the scene. The second woman was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
Cpl. Johnson said the investigation is considered a domestic situation that involves a third suspect and police anticipate a "quick closure" of the case.
