NEW YORK (AP) - Without Andy Roddick or Mardy Fish, the U.S. Davis Cup team will count on a roster of John Isner, Sam Querrey and twins Bob and Mike Bryan for its semifinal at Spain on Sept. 14-16.
U.S. captain Jim Courier announced the team Tuesday at the U.S. Open.
Roddick announced last week that he will retire after the year's last Grand Slam tournament. Fish withdrew from the U.S. Open on Monday after a health scare, although Courier said it already had been decided before the tournament that Fish would not be part of the team facing Spain on red clay.
Spain will be missing 11-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal, who will be out at least two more months because of a partially torn patella tendon in his left knee.
