A suspected terrorist walked into a Paris police station to complain about poor working conditions at his place of employment, at which time authorities realized there was an international arrest warrant out for him.

Jeyanthan Tharmalingam, 35, entered the station on Jan. 9, at which point the warrant was discovered, Agence France-Presse reported.

Mr. Tharmalingam, an alleged member of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, was notified of the charges against him during a court appearance and then released on bail, according to AFP.

The Tamil Tigers were designated a terrorist organization in 1997 after a decades-long war with the Sri Lankan government left tens of thousands dead.
