CINCINNATI (AP) - Plans for a major renovation of the University of Cincinnati’s basketball arena could be coming up for a vote.

The Cincinnati Enquirer (https://cin.ci/1WNlGNg ) reports that the university’s board is expected to vote on the arena project on Tuesday.

The newspaper says work on a $70 million upgrade of Fifth Third Arena could begin soon after the end of the upcoming basketball season.

Cincinnati athletic director Mike Bohn wouldn’t comment on any specifics about the project.

The university is finishing up an $86 million renovation to its on-campus football stadium that will bring its capacity to 40,000.
