JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) - Jackson Hole Airport has reported handling a record number of airline passengers in 2014.
Over the course of last year more than 313,000 people took a seat on a commercial jet at the airport in Teton County. The previous record year was about 305,000 fliers in 2008.
Jackson Hole is the state’s busiest airport.
Airport Director Jim Elwood attributed the record year to excellent snow and a strong community connection.
The Jackson Hole News & Guide reports (https://bit.ly/1BTzmd6 ) that compared with 2013, plane traffic was up in every month except for April and September.
