BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - Authorities say two men were killed in a head-on crash west of Whitehall.
The Montana Standard in Butte reports (https://goo.gl/fFp0kv ) a 74-year-old Alder rancher and his 73-year-old wife, who was a passenger, were headed south in a pickup hauling an empty horse trailer on state Highway 41 on Monday afternoon when their vehicle drifted across the center line and struck an SUV.
The rancher and the 66-year-old Arizona man who was driving the SUV were killed. The rancher’s wife and a 43-year-old woman in the SUV were injured. Their conditions have not been released.
The Montana Highway Patrol has not released the names of anyone involved.
