Gregory Dean, who previously led the Seattle Fire Department for 10 years, will be named D.C.’s new fire chief on Monday, the Seattle Times reported.
Mr. Dean, 64, had been with the Seattle Fire Department for 44 years before stepping down in December.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser is scheduled to announce the appointment Monday, the newspaper reported.
If confirmed by the D.C. Council, Mr. Dean will replace Eugene Jones, who took over as interim chief last year.
