ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A 17-year-old girl who was with the ex-convict accused of shooting an Albuquerque police officer at the time of the incident says the suspect told her he was going to “do something he would regret” as he was pulled over.
Officer Daniel Webster died of injuries suffered when he was shot during a traffic stop on Oct. 21. Davon Lymon, the 34-year-old suspect, is in federal custody and faces one charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm after police found a gun near the shooting scene.
The Albuquerque Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1PKk5EM ) that newly filed court records include witness statements from the teen. She says Lymon had helped her purchase some heroin and was taking her on the back of a motorcycle to purchase a drink when he was pulled over.
