NEW OXFORD, Pa. (AP) - An ammonia leak at a turkey processing business in south-central Pennsylvania has been blamed on recent high temperatures.

Nobody was hurt when the gas leaked from the refrigeration system at Plainville Farms in New Oxford on Saturday.

Residents were told to remain inside for about an hour as a precaution.

United Hook and Ladder Company No. 33 says no employees were hurt when temperatures caused a relief valve on the plant’s roof to malfunction.

Officials don’t expect the problem to happen again, even in high temperatures.
