RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - A dozen pigs, three cows and a prize-winning lamb were killed during a fire at a farm in Saginaw County’s Richland Township.
The Saginaw News reports (https://bit.ly/2bxN29n ) Monday that 31 cows were at pasture and survived Saturday evening’s blaze southwest of Saginaw.
Township fire Lt. Andrew Morse says a few barns and a shed on the farm caught fire.
He says the lamb was purchased recently at the county fair. A tractor and about 154,000 pounds of hay also were destroyed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
