ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Santa Fe Archbishop John Wester is planning to host a forum around the subject of immigration.

The Archdiocese of Santa Fe announced that week the immigration symposium will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Albuquerque on Feb. 24.

The forum will come after Wester is scheduled to hear Pope Francis give Mass from a Ciudad Juarez field next week. Wester is slated to hear the Mass with other U.S. bishops on a levee on the U.S. side of the border.

Pope Francis is expected to speak on immigration and had called on the faithful to turn attention toward the poor and vulnerable.

Ciudad Juarez, on Mexico’s northern border across from El Paso, Texas, is the last stop in the pope’s schedule 5-day visit to Mexico.
