ST. LOUIS (AP) - A second-floor porch in St. Louis collapsed, injuring five people, two seriously.
Fire Department Capt. Gregg Favre says the accident occurred Saturday evening during a Mardi Gras celebration at a building in the Soulard neighborhood. Favre says witnesses told firefighters the porch suddenly pulled away from the building wall and fell.
Favre told The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (https://bit.ly/20iaebr ) that no one was trapped under heavy debris, but firefighters pulled away timbers to help the victims.
He says they treated five people and sent two to an area hospital for serious but not life-threatening injuries.
