LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service says snow, sleet and freezing rain are expected in northern Arkansas and part of Oklahoma and has issued a winter weather advisory.

The advisory is in effect from noon Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday in far northeastern Oklahoma and northwestern Arkansas, from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday for much of the northern third of Arkansas and from 9 p.m. until noon Wednesday for northeastern Arkansas.

The weather service says light freezing drizzle is expected to begin falling late Tuesday morning or early in the afternoon in northeastern Oklahoma and spread eastward into Arkansas.



One to two inches of snow and sleet is possible, plus freezing rain amounts of one-tenth to one-quarter of an inch with overnight lows in the mid-20s to the lower 30s.
