FLINT, Mich. (AP) - Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder has visited a community college in Flint to see how the school is benefiting from a $3 million grant that it received last year.

The Flint Journal (https://bit.ly/1ZsSWJh ) reports Snyder toured Mott Community College’s Regional Technology building on Monday. He was joined by Stephanie Comai, director of the Talent Investment Agency, which oversees the Community College Skilled Trades Equipment Program at various colleges throughout Michigan.

Mott received more than $3 million last year to purchase equipment for skill trades programs through the Talent Investment Agency program. The funds were matched locally at more than $1 million, so Mott was given a total of nearly $4.1 million.

The school has purchased equipment for programs, including nursing, dental, automotive, welding and air conditioning, heating and refrigeration.
