MONTROSE, Colo. (AP) - Montrose County authorities searching for a missing Utah woman have come across a body in the Lion Creek area near Buckeye Reservoir where she was last seen.

The Montrose Daily Press reports (https://tinyurl.com/zt8yvue ) that sheriff’s deputies were looking for 54-year-old Kimberly Ann Burchell of Moab, Utah when they found the body Tuesday. The body has not yet been identified.

Burchell was last seen on May 4 as she walked away from friends while antler shed hunting in the area.

The Montrose County Sheriff’s Office had been made aware of her disappearance after receiving a call the next day from San Juan County authorities in Utah.

Search efforts for the woman had been difficult in the rough terrain and bad weather conditions. The search resumed Tuesday, when the body was discovered.
