DeSean Jackson was a full participant in practice Friday and will be on the field Sunday night when the Washington Redskins host the reeling Green Bay Packers.
Jackson did not play in last week’s win against the Minnesota Vikings. The Redskins were forced to work medium and short throws more often without the speed of Jackson to produce a deep threat.
Running back Matt Jones is again a healthy scratch. Jones lost his post because of positive work by undrafted rookie free agent Rob Kelley and fumble problems. Jones cannot contribute on special teams, which has forced the Redskins to make him inactive and carry three other backs: Kelley, the lead back, Chris Thompson, a third-down back, and Jones’ good friend, Mack Brown, who plays special teams.
Long snapper Nick Sundberg is also inactive Sunday. He tweaked his back lifting weights Thursday and did not practice Thursday or Friday. The Redskins signed Rick Lovato on Friday to take Sundberg’s place. To make room for Lovato, they waived defensive lineman Jordan Hill.
Also inactive for the Redskins are the following players: Quarterback Nate Sudfeld, wide receiver Rashad Ross, tackle Blaine Clausell, guard Arie Kouandjio and defensive end Matt Ioannidis.
Inactive for the Packers are cornerback Damarious Randall, running back Christine Michael, linebacker Jake Ryan, guard T.J. Ryan, center JC Tretter, linebacker Jayrone Elliott and defensive tackle Christian Ringo.
