NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Police say one driver is dead and another injured after a head-on crash between two pickup trucks in eastern New Orleans.
City police say the crash on Chef Menteur (mahn-TUHR) Highway occurred about 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
A news release says the Chevrolet’s driver was dead at the scene, and the Ford’s driver was taken to a hospital.
Police did not release either driver’s name or any details about how the crash occurred.
According to the news release, the coroner’s office will release the dead driver’s name after an autopsy.
