Capitals, Penguins scoreless through first period

The Washington Capitals and the Pittsburgh Penguins are scoreless through the first period in Game 2 at the Verizon Center. The Capitals, for the most part, dominated the period and had 16 shots on goal to Pittsburgh’s five.
