Add Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley to the chorus of players calling foul on healthy NBA stars sitting out regular season games to rest.

“I think that’s bullsh-t,” Beverley told ESPN’s Tim McMahon. “I think it’s a disgrace to this league. I think that fans deserve better.”

The 28-year-old Beverley, who starts in the Rockets’ backcourt with MVP candidate James Harden, averages 30.6 minutes a game with a scoring average of 9.3.

Golden State Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr has rested his starters several times this season, and defends his decision.

“It’s my call, and it’s the right thing to do in terms of the way the season is playing out and the way minutes have gone and KD’s [Kevin Durant’s] injury,” Kerr told ESPN’s Chris Haynes.

Washington Wizards point guard John Wall has dealt with injuries in the past, and can’t imagine missing a game when healthy.

“I’m not the kind of guy who wants to sit down and rest. I think you owe it to the fans,” Wall told CSN Mid-Atlantic. “They paid money to come see us play.”

Washington coach Scott Brooks agreed.

“There’s certain cases and certain examples and certain players that probably need it. But that’s very rare in my opinion,” Brooks told CSN Mid-Atlantic. “You’re talking basketball. It’s 32 minutes a night. This is not hard work. This is fun.”
