BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - A body found inside a burned minivan in northeast Arkansas has been identified as that of a man reported missing.

Blytheville police Det. Jonathan Frazier says the Arkansas State Crime Lab told police Friday that the body is that of 29-year-old Korey Thomas of Osceola.

Police say the body was found Monday in the backseat after firefighters extinguished the burning van that was found in Blytheville.

A suspected cause of death was not immediately released, but Frazier said the death is being investigated as a homicide.

No arrests have been announced.

Thomas had been reported missing Sept. 29.
