After losing to the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles, the Washington Redskins face a third straight NFC East opponent Sunday — in a game they absolutely can’t afford to lose now.
Here’s everything you need to know for the Redskins’ must-win Week 14 matchup:
Opponent: New York Giants (4-8)
Where: FedEx Field, Landover, Maryland
When: Sunday, Dec. 9, 1 p.m.
Television: Fox
Radio: The Team 980
What to watch for: Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been ruled out with a bruised quad. He only showed up on the team’s injury report Friday, but did not travel with the team to Washington Saturday … That might hold back the Giants, who enter Sunday having won three of their last four games, but they still have Saquon Barkley, who has already set New York’s franchise record for rushing yards in a rookie season and is just 46 away from the 1,000 mark … Sunday will be Mark Sanchez’s first start for the Redskins, and his first NFL start since Nov. 26, 2015. In relief of Colt McCoy last week, Sanchez went 13-for-21 for 100 yards and an interception. He’s had most of a week’s worth of first-team reps since then, though his starting offensive line may include the likes of Luke Bowanko.
