The USS Constellation is docked at Baltimore's Inner Harbor at Pier 1, between the Light Street and Pratt Street pavilions. The address is 301 E. Pratt St., Baltimore, Md. 21202-3134.


To get to the Constellation, take Interstate 95 North to Route 395 North and follow directions to the Inner Harbor.


The museum's phone number is 410/539-1797. The Web site (www.constellation.org) includes the ship's history and has an on-line gift store.


The Constellation is open every day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but on May 1 the hours extend to 6 p.m. and may go even longer during the summer.


Tickets are $6 for adults, $4.75 for seniors ages 60 and older, and $3.50 for children ages 6 to 14. Children younger than 6 are admitted for free.


Plenty of parking is available in metered spaces and parking garages around the Inner Harbor.

Upcoming events:

The Constellation will participate in several upcoming special events:

• April 8: The Ship's Company, a living-history troupe, will bring to life the Confederate navy with a daylong exhibit featuring weapons and ships used by the Confederates during the Civil War.

• April 29 and 30: In this Civil War weekend, patrons can ride with Civil War re-enactors dressed as Confederate prisoners as they are ferried from Fort McHenry to the Constellation and put in the ship's brig.

• The Ship's Company also will be at the Constellation on May 20, June 24 and 25, July 29 and Aug. 26.

• The Shantymen, a group of musicians in the Ship's Company, will perform Civil War-era music on May 27 from 2 to 6 p.m., June 17 from 2 to 6 p.m. and June 18 from 1 to 5 p.m.
